OVERVIEW
92% children in need of a liver transplant do not receive it, despite transplant costs in India being among the lowest in the world.
3000 children in India need a liver transplant every year, but only 1 in 20 get access to it. A major factor affecting this entitlement failure is the exorbitantly high cost of a liver transplant that leaves many children suffering from terminal liver diseases deprived. An astounding 10-15% of fatalities caused by terminal liver diseases can be reduced through timely diagnosis and treatment for liver transplant procedures. This requires ecosystem reform, support for affected families and access to financial aid.
Our Mission
The Pravin Agarwal Foundation is on a mission to make pediatric liver care in India more affordable, accessible and available for children in need. The brainchild of noted corporate philanthropist Mr. Pravin Agarwal, The Pravin Agarwal Foundation (TPAF) pioneers efforts to support pediatric liver transplant in India through an innovative technology-driven model.
Our Vision
TPAF simplifies fundraising for families of children in need of pediatric liver transplant surgery. Leveraging a technology-driven model, TPAF uses the power of the crowd to raise funds. TPAF aims to enroll, financial donors and liver transplant center into an integrated platform to narrow down gaps across the stages of pre-liver transplant financial aid, medical intervention for surgery and post-operative costs.

What we do
What we do
At TPAF, we support families of children in need of pediatric liver transplant surgery in India. Leveraging a technology-based model of crowdfunding, we distribute the costs among the patient, healthcare institutions, Milaap- one of our crowdfunding partners and TPAF, thereby reducing the final amount that the family has to pay to Rs. 2.5 Lakhs only and enable on-time procurement of the requisite financial aid for liver transplant surgery.

Enable Partnerships
We bring together diverse communities of doctors, non-profit healthcare organizations and post-operative care providers to raise awareness about pediatric liver transplant and bring systemic change.

Support Family
We facilitate on-ground support for the children in need of a liver transplant and their families throughout the patient journey empowering them with the means to establish liaison with healthcare administrators, support for post-operative immunotherapy, and additional surgical costs if any.

Financial Assistance
We contribute funds for liver transplant surgeries and help raise additional funds through our crowd funding partners. We also provide gap funding for campaigns that do not meet targets.
