How we can
A successful liver transplant calls for community action. It calls for diverse communities and individuals to come together to make a pediatric liver transplant possible, at time amid adverse conditions. As much as we match step with parents of children affected by liver diseases, our institutional partners namely: Milaap, JEET Foundation, and Ketto match step with us to transform and scale efforts to enable liver transplants for children.
Milaap and TPAF have come together on their mission to deliver impact by supporting those patients who are in need of treatment and would have otherwise not had access to it due to financial constraints. The collaboration between TPAF and Milaap dates back to the year2016. Since then the TPAF has supported fund raising campaigns for 75 liver transplants through Milaap until July 2019. Funds raised by the combined efforts of Milaap and TPAF for liver transplants amount to INR 8 crore.
Joint Effort to Enable Transplants (JEET) is a non-profit organization formed for the sole purpose of enabling organ transplants. A brainchild of the most eminent ‘Mumbaikars’ from diverse walks of life, JEET is on a mission to make transplantations affordable for the poor, raise awareness about organ donation and collaborate with like-minded organizations like TPAF. JEET Foundation determines eligibility for funding on a case- to-case basis to support the poor to enable them to receive life-saving transplants. Financial support for funding includes that for transplantation assessment, surgery, hospitalization and medicines. Since the year 2018 JEET Foundation and TPAF have collaborated to support 7 patients in need of liver transplantation. JEET Foundation has contributed funds worth INR 15 Lacs for liver transplants.
Lending vitality to the efforts of TPAF to raise funds to provide financial aid for children in need of liver transplant and their families, is Ketto. A technology enterprise founded in the year 2012 by Varun Sheth, Zaheer Adenwala and Kunal Kapoor, Ketto is Asia’s most visited and trusted crowdfunding platform. It has leveraged its online model to make the process of crowdfunding more efficient, transparent and accessible. Since inception, Ketto has helped raise funds over INR 300 crores for more than 30,000 patients.
