Overview

He started his transplant career at Apollo Chennai where he worked for almost 7years. He was part of team for almost 700+ transplant which included Liver , Kidney, Pancreas and Small Bowel transplants.

He came back to Maharashtra and Joined Sahyadri Hospitals in 2016 where he started Organ transplant programme at Sahyadri Super speciality hospital Deccan Gymkhana.

Presently it is the 3rd largest organ transplant centre in India awarded by NOTTO( National organ tissue & transplant organisation Delhi)
The centre has performed more than 200 liver transplants and maximum simultaneous kidney-pancreas transplants at Sahyadri Hospitals in less than 3 years.

He is famous for his outstanding surgical skills, great patient rapport and down to earth nature and an infectious smile.

He presently is expanding his transplant program all over Maharashtra with the motto of providing organ transplants to every corner of Maharashtra at an affordable cost and at accessible destination.

Received “youth icon of Pune” award from Times of India in 2018 and Best Organ Transplant Hospital in Maharashtra by “Navbharat” Award 2018

Ayan Chatterjee is a seasoned professional with a career spanning over two decades, characterized by his expertise in scaling start-ups, government liaison, and driving impactful CSR and social impact initiatives. His transformative initiatives include anchoring the pilots and scaling up of the National Deworming program as part of Evidence Action, an Intervention by Nobel Laureate Esther Duflo and Michael Kramer.

He is the Co-Founder of ThinkTac, a pioneering STEM education start-up supported by Dr. C V Raman’s family trust. Ayan is dedicated to transforming STEM education through experiential learning and integrating these programs into grades I – X curriculum.

Ayan has also led the Group CSR for Sterlite Power and co-founded Sterlite EdIndia Foundation, the CSR foundation of Sterlite Power where he continues in a Board advisory role. Ayan serves as a member of the Global Collective for Socio-Emotional Learning & Digital Learning under UNESCO-MGIEP. Pratik Agarwal is the Managing Director of Sterlite Power, which is part of the metals and mining conglomerate – Vedanta Limited. Pratik is also spearheading Vedanta group’s investor relations and key strategic matters. Vedanta Limited is a USD 17 billion Annual Revenue company.

Under his leadership, Sterlite Power has built, financed, and operated close to 19,000 ckm of high voltage transmission lines and invested USD ~6 billion for developing 30 projects across India & Brazil. In 2017, Sterlite spun-out its Indian operating assets into a yield platform called IndiGrid – India’s first power sector Invit (Infrastructure Investment Trust). IndiGrid, was subsequently acquired by high-profile Investment funds like KKR, GIC.

To decarbonize the hard to abate industries, Pratik recently announced a renewable energy platform – Serentica, which has already signed ~600 MW power supply agreements to provide 24/7 round-the-clock renewable power to large industrial consumers in India. The platform has raised $400Mn funding from KKR, one of the largest industrial decarbonization investments in India. This is KKR’s second deal with the Group.

Pratik is a prominent thought leader who is actively pursuing development of cross-country transmission interconnectors to tap into rich RE diversity across continents in line with the One Sun One World One Grid (OSOWOG) initiative. Under his leadership, Sterlite is testing the potential for India – Middle East transmission link to allow transfer of 20 GW of power in Phase 1 via HVDC subsea link through the Arabian Sea.

Pratik is the chairman of the committee on Power Transmission of Confederation of Indian Industries (CII), member of the Indian Advisory Board of the India-Brazil Chamber of Commerce (IBCC) and the President of Electric Power Transmission Association (EPTA), India.

Pratik received the Economic Times CEO of the Year Award at the Energy Leadership Summit. In 2018, he also received Economic Times 40 under 40 award, which recognizes young business leaders under the age of forty.

Pratik holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, and an MBA degree from the London Business School.
