TPAF Calls Out Doctors to Join the Pediatric Liver Transplant Mission

19 out of every 20 children in need of a liver transplant in India do not have access to it; one of the major reasons behind this entitlement failure being unavailability of sufficient number of hepatologists.

At The Pravin Agarwal Foundation, we are on a mission to make paediatric liver transplant procedures more affordable, accessible and readily available. We are collaborating with diverse stakeholder groups including liver transplant centers, individual and institutional donors and crowd funding platforms to reform the liver transplant ecosystem in India. One challenge that can disrupt our efforts to save children affected with terminal liver diseases is the unavailability of hepatologists.

We are aiming to onboard many liver specialists and liver surgeons this year to join our mission to transform paediatric liver transplant and paediatric liver care in India. We express our indebtedness to those liver transplant surgery leaders in the hepatology community in India that have gone the extra mile, risen above professional and personal commitments to partner with us and thus displayed exemplary spirit in serving children affected with terminal liver diseases. Your participation can help us to zero down the gap, make liver transplant more inclusive and save precious lives.

Nothing endures forever, be it a human liver or a human life. But your voluntary act of joining us at TPAF can enable a child to survive longer and can cause your legacy as a doctor to live for generations to come.

Come & Join us !

You can also Join Our TPAF Facebook Group – The Pravin Agarwal Foundation (TPAF) Support group, created to form a network of families/caregivers of children who suffer from Liver Disease. We would request to join the platform to share experiences & concerns, provide emotional & social support and encourage one another in this journey.
